Like a slow curtain going up, the spires revealed themselves as nature imitated art. When the gallery was open, I was astounded, since the steeples surpassed this artist’s conception. The summit’s number and steepness would have been overdone in a painting, but this was reality. Swathed in their sun-lit Borneo future, the spires spoke in a symphonic climax, but what was the message?
