  2. There are 16 summits on this list, of which 11 have a hard rank.

  3. This Vasquez Mountains list’s scope is west of U.S. 40 near Berthoud Pass, south of the Colorado River near Hot Sulphur Springs, north of Woods Creek east of the Continental Divide, and north of the Williams Fork west of the Continental Divide.

  4. Only summits over 11,000 feet are included on this list. Gerry will add lower summits later.

  5. All of the peaks on this list are in Colorado’s Front Range, and in the Vasquez Mountains Sub Range, a fact denoted by the abbreviation VM in the Rg column.

  6. The Land Column gives the land use designation. The abbreviations used are:
    • BP - peak is in the Byers Peak Wilderness Area
    • VP - peak is in the Vasquez Peak Wilderness Area
    • HM - peak is on the Henderson Mine property
    • AR - peak is in the Arapaho National Forest and none of the above areas


  7. Gerry handleveled between the two summits of “Rad Peak” and determined that the highest is the southern summit with the given elevation of 12,317 feet.
