Jack Longacre formed the Highpointers Club in 1987 to provide a forum
for the exchange of information regarding the highpoints of the United States.
The club continues to grow rapidly, and their website highpointers.org
has considerable information about the club and the state highpoints.
Also, club members Charlie and Diane Winger have written an excellent
guidebook to the US state summits called Highpoint Adventures Click for Charlie and Diane Winger's Highpoint Adventures
