Notes by Gerry Roach

  1. Gerry Roach’s totals: 28 ascents; 26/26 overall
    Jennifer Roach’s totals: 28 ascents; 26/26 overall
Gerry and Jennifer’s combined total: 56 ascents
    As of 11/15/05

  2. In this list, “Rank” is Rank by Elevation, not Rank by Prominence.

  3. The Grand Parent is not the same as the Parent peak used in other lists. In this list, the Grand Parent is the closest, higher Utah county highpoint.

  4. Three of Utah’s 29 county summits are “twofers,” where one peak is the highpoint of two counties. These three twofer peaks are Eccentric, Delano and Thurston. Thus, even though there are 29 counties, there are only 26 different Utah county summits.

  5. All maps listed are USGS 7.5 minute quads unless otherwise indicated. The first map listed shows the highpoint. The contour interval of the first map listed is 40 feet unless otherwise indicated. The contour interval of other maps in a series is not specified.

  6. The datum for the Latitude and Longitude is WGS84.

  7. The Pg column lists the page number in Michael Weibel and Dan Miller’s excellent guidebook to Utah’s county summits, High in Utah.
