A few steps beyond our picnic site, Logan evaporated beneath my feet, and I fell free through air — not a freedom I wanted. As I plummeted into the dreaded hidden crevasse, my mind screamed, “Oh no! The slack!”

Canada’s highest peak, 19,540-foot Mount Logan. |
Looking across our High Over Boulder Camp to Fat City. 18,517-foot Prospectors Peak is on the left, and 18,438-foot AINA Peak is below the sunburst. Pass Go is between these two summits. 18,176-foot Tudor Peak and 18,044-foot Saxon Peak are on the right. Distances are deceiving here. It is four miles from High Over Boulder to Fat City. |
Our view West from Logan’s summit. This makes you feel like you can see the curve of the Earth. |
While King Peak serenaded our descent, we had ample opportunity to wink at Logan’s Light. |
